The Meadows form, tips and predictions April 11, 2015

TWELVE races are on the card at The Meadows tonight and it looks to be a fantastic night of chasing action.

The highlight of the meeting looks to be race eight, with a clash between triple winner Lamia Bale (box three), hero Dyna Villa (box five) and boom chaser (box eight).

Race One

Ikari Express is a highly talented prospect and if he can reproduce the effort which saw him win here in 30 flat he should prove hard to hold out. His box manners aren't great which is a small concern but he does possess a wonderful turn of foot and with some room in the first 50-metres he should get every chance to drive through and lead. This race isn't overly strong so he should get every chance to score.

Brown Bomber is better than his recent form reads and he looks well placed in the pink draw. Two starts back he managed to lead throughout here and post a more than handy 30.38 and he followed that effort up with a solid placing. He should have the speed to settle in the top two and he should run a prominent race.

Zipping Nelson is likely to start favourite and he has the good draw, the concern with him though is that he can bomb the start and he may get shuffled back in the early stages.

Top Four: 4 – 8 – 6 – 1

Suggested Bets:

Win bet on Ikari Express

Boxed Quinella: 1,4,6,8 ($6 for 100%)

Race Two

Ima Misha Doll was soundly beaten here when placed last week but they did run an eye popping 29.57 in that event and her own time was more than handy. Prior to making her debut here she had recently won the Vic Breeders series in good fashion and she showed blistering early speed throughout that series. The draw is against her tonight but if she steps on terms she should be able to lead from go to whoa.

Linco Bale appears well placed in the pink draw and he has won here previously in a slick 30.15. He is a full brother to the explosive Fernando Bale and although he isn't as talented as his brother he is still more than capable. He should get a nice cart across from the seven early and he should figure prominently.

No Diggity is another who is blessed with early speed and she should be in the mix for a long way, she should match motors with the blue or sit just behind it in the early stages and she shouldn't be too far away at the end.

Hakata Bale has been placed in five of 11 here and he should feature in the exotics again, he lacks early speed but he will hit the line well and he could be the value.

Top Four: 4 – 8 – 7 – 3

10SATSUKI BALE (NSW)[5]Res.6453430.11(3)A Dailly (Anakie)

Shout Out Loud is no superstar but she does appear to be ideally placed in the pink draw and she will likely be well over the odds in this event. She has continually found bother in her recent efforts because she has wanted to get wide at the first turn. From the wide draw tonight she should be able to swoop into the first turn and at double figure odds with William Hill she should give a sight.

King Surfa is expected to lead for a long way and he will be reeling off brilliant sectionals. He tends to struggle in the final 50-metres but if he can break away mid-race he might just pinch the event.

Zabimaru Bale is well placed in the red draw and he tends to do his best racing over this track and trip. His recent form doesn't look too appealing but he is dropping considerably in class and he should make his presence felt.

Penance Allen and To The Galo's round out the chances, both are poorly drawn but they are more than capable, it will be worthwhile including them both in your exotic bets.

8IMA SCREW LOOSE [5]31786FSTDC Capuano (Anakie)
9BOSTON GEORGE [5]Res.73546FSTDJ Formosa (Heathcote)

Gorham Bale is stepping back up to the middle distance range and he couldn't have drawn any better. From the red draw he should be able to punch through and hold the early lead, he is a different chaser when he can sight the lure and I think he can break them up mid-race. The last 40-metres is a slight concern but I think he should be around the $3.50 mark with William Hill and at those odds its worth taking the risk.

Rumero Reason is the run on type in the event and he has a great record here. The wide draw doesn't suit but he normally misses away and that should allow him to drift across and find the rail soon after the start.

Jamiela Twist rarely runs a bad race and when given clear running she can run very quick times. There is a bit of speed on her outside but there is also speed underneath so with a clean getaway she should push through and follow the four across in the run to the first turn.

Go Mobo will be in the firing line for most of the journey and he must be respected. He can get a little tired in the run home but if he crosses the red early he may just steal the prize.

Opec Bale has been racing in much stronger company of late and he looks better suited back to this circuit. He has won two of three here and he looks well placed in this event. There is a fair bit of speed in this race and there are quite a few runners that struggle in the closing stages. If he can settle mid-pack he should be able to get balanced mid-race and swoop over the top in the closing stages.

Tears Siam blew away a handy lineup here last time in a handicap event and she is suited to the wide draw tonight. She can be hit or miss early but she does have the ability to lead or come from off the speed in her races.

Beks does his best racing here and he will hit the line solidly, he has turned in some top performances here in recent weeks and he only needs some luck in running to feature.

Unix Bale could be value, I'm expecting her to lead and after two recent tries over this trip she should be ready to run it out a little better.

Nicki Fields must also be included in your quaddies if you go wide in the first leg.

Dyna Nico is a faultless beginner and she was a recent placegetter in the Golden Easter Egg Final. She has raced well here in the past and with a clean getaway she should have enough speed to cross the red in the run to the first turn. If she finds the lure tonight I can't see anything in this field reeling her in.

Quick Succession is in very good form at present and she should put plenty of pressure on Dyna Nico in the early stages. She isn't overly strong but if she does settle in second spot she is good enough to hang on for the quinella spot.

Nockabout Aussie is slowly returning to his best form and he will be powering to the line. He can make a lot of mistakes in his races but if the leaders happen to bunch up he may just swoop over the top of them late.

Humphrey Bale was pretty stiff here last week and he shouldn't be too far away, he tends to save his best for this track and trip so he could be good value.

10ULLA ALLEN (NSW)[5]Res.5528730.23(4)S Collins (Lara)

Fuelish is a gun speedster when on song and with a clean getaway he should prove too zippy for his rivals. Four starts back he showed very good early speed when posting a sizzling 29.89 win over this trip and if he can turn in similar sectionals tonight he should be able to get across. He did get polaxed last time out, so that is a small concern, but if he took no harm from that run he looks a good bet with William Hill tonight.

Cosmic Yap is racing extremely well at present and he powered to the line when scoring at in Tuesday in a smart 26.07. He has steady beginners drawn around him tonight so he should get every chance to push through into a prominent spot at the first bend.

Hestia Bale could be the value, she is much better than her form reads and she should be able to regain some confidence from the good draw.

Ivy Bale rounds out the winning chances, she has struggled in her past couple but she does own a devastating 29.77 PB over this journey.

Dyna Double One was desperately unlucky in the final of the Easter Egg last week and from the pink draw tonight he should be able to return to the winners list. He has a fantastic record over this track and trip and with two slow beginners directly underneath he should be afforded all the breaks in the run to the first turn. With Dyna Villa in the race you might be able to get around $2.50 with William Hill which is great odds and so I have made him my bet of the night.

Dyna Villa is all class and he will most likely lead for most of the journey. If the pink finds bother early then he can win the race but if the pink settles just behind him I don't think he can hold him out.

Lamia Bale continues to do everything right and she beat a classy line-up at last time out in 29.90. She is suited to the rails draw and she should run a very cheeky race.

Usain I'm Nutty continues to impress and he will be powering to the line, he may get too far back early to win but he is a must for your exotic bets.

10ALLEN QUARIAN (NSW)[5]Res.2442730.33(8)J Hunt (Avalon)

Tiggerlong Fox has turned in some stellar performances of late and he should get a dream run across from the pink draw. Two starts back he showed a blistering turn of foot mid-race when scoring at Shepparton in 25.42 and with a clear tonight I think he is capable of going sub 30 seconds. You should be able to get around the $5 mark with William Hill which appears to be value.

Dyna Tiber can be hard to follow at times but there is no doubting his talent. Last time out he charged home to be placed at Ballarat in very fast time and from the red he should be afforded a clear run in the early stages.

Cheap Currency is always a chance in these types of races, he will get a long way back early but he is extremely strong and he is able to weave his way through the field.

What's Chewing is the only other winning prospect, he can be very inconsistent but he is capable of reeling off very quick splits when given galloping room.

Win bet on Tiggerlong Fox

Race 10

Lunar Eclipse is a member of a highly promising litter and he announced his arrival to the big stage with a dazzling 29.57 win here last week. On that occasion he showed a heap of early speed and he made some handy chasers look second rate. He steps up in class tonight but if he can hold Crackerjack Burn out in the early stages he should prove too good for them.

Walt Bale is the run on type in the event and he must be respected. I'm expecting the favourite to dash away mid-race and the pack behind is likely to shuffle up, so Walt Bale should be able to run over the top of them late and grab the quinella spot.

Crackerjack Burn is racing well and he has speed to burn, he will need to cross the two early to win but if he doesn't can still hold on for a place.

Tiggerlong Katut could cause a boil over, he has been racing well at Wentworth Park in recent weeks and he can show sizzling early speed at times. He will likely be double figure odds and if you're looking for overs, he could be worth an each way ticket with William Hill.

Very good race and I think the classy Ikaku Bale is well placed in the wide draw. He has a breathtaking 29.60 PB over this journey and if he can step on terms he should get a very nice cart across in the early stages. There is a fair bit of depth in this event but he is clearly the most talented chaser and he just needs an ounce of luck in running.

Quarrel Bale appears to be back to his best with two slick Bendigo wins of late over the 500-metre journey and he should get a nice sit in the early stages tonight. He is very strong in the run home and I expect him to be around the money.

Allen Gravion is likely to be over the odds and he turned in a great performance when placed here last week, the draw is poor again but he does muster speed well and he could cause an upset.

Mag Bale flew around here last week but he has a poor draw this week so he may find it a lot more difficult.

Suggested Bets:

Win bet on Ikaku Bale with William Hill

Race 12

Go Go Spaghettio is showing plenty of promise and she couldn't have found a weaker event to make her metro debut in. She is armed with superb early speed and with the lack of dash around her she should be in the firing line as they head through the first bend. The last 50-metres may be a slight concern but she should be far enough in front mid-race to grab victory.

Percy's Lad has the speed to settle in the top two and he was a zippy 25.43 Shepparton winner three runs back. He has been placed in one of two tries here and if he finds the top early he will prove hard to reel in.

Zelemar Joker is a consistent type and he should be in the mix for a long way, whilst Girthy is dropping in class and she could sneak home into third place.

Top Four: 7 – 4 – 1 – 2

Win bet on Go Go Spaghettio
