Race 1 – 525M Grade 5 – 7:15PM

The highly promising Thunderlips is blessed with explosive early speed and she scored three sizzling provincial wins in April. Her most recent win came over the 520m at in a very fast 29.45, so the trip should be no concern.

Shall She Rock looks perfectly drawn in the red early and she caught the eye with a strong 26.55 Warragul win, the time wasn't flash but the track was slow and she downed a quality field. Rorshach Bale and Victoria Pledge are both promising chasers who must be respected.

Top Four: 3 – 1 – 5 – 6

Suggested Bet: Win bet on Thunderlips, quinella with Shall She Rock.

Race 2 – 525M Grade 5 – 7:37PM

I have been sucked in by Zipping Snoopy the past two weeks and tonight he is on his final chance. Drawn ideally out wide he should get every chance to muster speed in the early stages and if he can get through the first turn unscathed he should repay our faith.

Mermaid Princess is very hit or miss early but when she pings she is brilliant. Tonight I'm tipping her to ping and be a major player. She has experienced a string of luckless efforts recently and she should regain some confidence here.

Top Four: 8 – 5 – 4 – 2

Suggested Bets: Win bets on Zipping Snoopy and Mermaid Princess.

Race 3 – 600m Grade 5 Heat – 8:00PM

Gimme Fuel will be a short priced favourite and he is making his middle distance debut, I'm expecting him to set the pace but I don't think he will get the trip. Bazza's Gift has been runner up in three of his past four starts and tonight I'm tipping him to get the gun run early and return to the winners list.

Manilla Express comes here with brilliant SA form and she appears favourably drawn out wide. In late April she broke the magical 35 second barrier at and a repeat of that run will see her be a contender here. Obviously Gimme Fuel will lead clearly but the last 50m is a major concern for me, place best.

Top Four: 2 – 8 – 1 – 3

Suggested Bets:

Win bet on Bazza's Gift

Quinella: 1,2,8 ($3 for $1)

Race 4 – 525M Damsels Dash Grade 5 Final – 8:20PM

Hekate Bale is armed with early speed and she caught my eye when placed in her heat last week. After working hard to find the lead mid race, she was reeled in late and only went down by just under two lengths. Tonight she should find the lead a little easier and run the trip out stronger.

Oasis has the great draw and she was an impressive 30.37 heat winner, she should be able to punch through at the first bend and settle in the first two. The last 40m is a little concern but she will be in the mix early. Zipping Maggie really hit the line hard in her 30.22 heat win, with some luck early she should be thereabouts also.

Top Four: 6 – 1 – 7 – 2

Suggested bet: Win bets on Hekate Bale and Serengeti Oasis, both should be value.

Race 5 – 600M Grade 5 heat – 8:38PM

The explosive Campaspe Will steps up in journey again and at the short odds he should lead throughout. In late April he ran the hands off the clock when scoring at Sandown Park over 595M and he is well graded here, looks a moral.

Duchess Bale is hit or miss early but when she hits she is capable of just about anything. She has won here over this trip previously and there doesn't appear to be a lot of early speed in this event. Cosmic Wise is very inconsistent and she doesn't like to be crowded early, I'm happy to risk her tonight. is the run on dog, must include in your exotics.

Top Four: 3 – 7 – 6 – 2

Suggested Bets:

Trifecta: 3/2,6,7/Field ($18 for $1)

Quinella: 3 to rove with 2,6,7.

Race 6 – 525M Mixed 4/5 – 8:57PM

Brent Bale has been racing in much tougher company of late and he should find this more to his liking. Being a railer, he should be able to step cleanly and utilise his rails draw, if he can reproduce his handy 30 flat PB here, he should win convincingly.

Dyna Filbert can be a tad slow to begin at times but that should work in his , if he can miss the kick tonight, he should be able to find the rails in the early stages and that will allow him to position a little closer to the speed. Easton Bale does his best racing here and he has been racing against some quality opposition of late, with a clear run at the first turn he should find himself in the finish.

Top Four: 1 – 3 – 4 – 7

Suggested Bet: Win bet on Brent Bale, should be $3 or better.

Race 7 – 600M Grade 5 Heat – 9:20PM

Immy Rose finally returned to the winners list with a more than handy 34.37 win last week. Tonight she has the coveted red alley and she should make it two wins on the trot. She should punch through and lead and she hit the line quite strongly in her Geelong win.

Half Way There is highly promising and he has recorded some sizzling wins in his brief career to date. If he can step cleanly he should get a nice sit on Immy Rose through the middle stages, with a clear run there won't be much separating them at the line. Beks is armed with a monster finish and he can storm home into the placings..

Top Four: 1 – 2 – 8 – 3

Suggested Bets:

Trifecta: 1/2,3,8/Field ($18 for $1)

Trifecta: 1,2/1,2/Field ($12 for $1)

Race 8 – 525M Free For All – 9:42PM

Buckle Up Mason found loads of bother at Sandown Park last week and tonight he should regain some confidence. Drawn ideally, he should have sufficient speed to hold them out early and with a 29.74 PB here it is hard to see him being run down. He will be short but he should get the cash.

Nothing Much was far from disgraced in his placing here last week and he has a top record from inside draws. I am expecting him to get a clear run early and he should be putting pressure on the favourite mid race. Zipping Brock is a gun chaser but he has a poor draw tonight, with a wide runner drawn underneath, he is going to need all the breaks to go his way.

Top Four: 1 – 2 – 5 – 6

Suggested Bets:

Trifecta: 1/2,5,6/Field ($18 for $1)

Trifecta: 1/2/Field ($6 for $1)

Quinella: 1 to rove with 2,5,6.

Race 9 – 600M Grade 5 Heat – 10:05PM

The Kelvin Greenough trained Tweed Bah Day's form doesn't look to crash hot on paper but in each of his four Victorian starts he has found a ridiculous amount of bother. Tonight he faces a big drop in class and he should get every chance to salute.

Lethal Three has been racing over longer journeys of late and tonight she drops back to a more favourable trip. She has shown a liking for this track previously, having recorded a more than handy 34.43 PB. Arising is armed with a big finish but his box draw will make life difficult for him tonight, he is likely to get shuffled a long way back initially, maybe worth anchoring for third and fourth in your exotic bets.

Top Four: 1 – 5 – 6 – 2

Suggested Bet: Win bet on Tweed Bay Day, at $3.50 you are getting big over's.

Race 10 – 525M Grade 5 – 10:25PM

The speedy Pippa Shiraz has a solid record over this journey and she looks suited in this class. She has missed the kick in her past few starts but from the rails draw she should be able to anticipate the start a little better. If you can find $3.80 or better that appears to be good value.

Victa Bale is a consistent chaser and he is armed with early speed also, if he can step on terms he should either be tackling Pippa Shiraz or sitting just behind her in the early and middle stages of the race. Yoda Bale is much better than his recent form suggests and he has the ability to cause a boil over.

Top Four: 1 – 2 – 3 – 5

Suggested Bets: Win bets on Pippa Shiraz and Victa Bale (more on Pippa Shiraz).

Race 11 – 600M Grade 5 Heat – 10:42PM

The classy Tick Bale has been placed in his two tries over this trip and he should appreciate the drop back to Grade 5 class. Two starts ago he hit the line hard when scoring at Sandown Park in a handy 34.32 and a repeat of that will see him get the cash again.

Delta Bolt is stepping up in distance and from her good draw she should have enough speed to hold the lead. In recent times she has been racing with no confidence, if she can find the early she should be able to show her best. Proven Trendy has had no luck since stepping up in distance and tonight he has drawn poorly again, he has the ability to win but he will need plenty of luck initially.

Top Four: 3 – 1 – 5 -6

Suggested Bets:

Trifecta: 3/1,5,6/1,2,4,5,6,8 ($12 for $1)

Quinella: 3 to rove with 1,5,6 ($3 for $1)

Race 12 – 525M Grade 5 – 11:00PM

In a race which is loaded with early speed, I think the box draw will play a major part. Dyna Irvine has had a minimal amount of luck from wider draws here of late, tonight he should be able to step cleanly and drive to the early lead. With some recent racing over this trip he should be able to find the line quite strongly.

Upset Boy backed up his sizzling 27.04 win with a strong placing here last week, with six placings from seven tries here, it is clear that he has a liking for this track. Sofa So Good has strung together three explosive provincial wins recently and if he can reproduce that form, he will be in the mix.

Top Four: 1 – 2 – 7 -4

Suggested Bets: Win bets on Dyna Irvine and Upset Boy (more on Dyna Irvine).

Quaddies

3/1,3/1,2,3,4,8/1,2,5 ($30 for $1)

2,3,5,6,7/1,3/1,2/1,2,5 ($60 for $1)
