Race 9: Dyna Villa
Dyna Villa is a super star and he looks well placed in this event. He is normally a very reliable beginner and he has very little speed drawn around him tonight, so with a clean getaway he should be able to roll to the top and get a fairly cheap lead. He is a different chaser when he can lead and dictate the terms and I can't see them reeling him in. He is currently around $3 with William Hill and that is stealing money.

Race 8: Mepunga Armagh
Mepunga Armagh has a terrific record over this track and trip and he is well over the odds at $10. In recent weeks he has been missing away and charging home at the end, however he is normally a much better beginner than that and if he steps on terms tonight he should be able to show enough speed to settle in the top three. He is capable of going around the 29.30 mark and that type of run would be enough for him to score tonight.

Race 8: Cosmic Daicos
Cosmic Daicos hasn't won for a little while but he is perfectly placed in his wide draw and I'm expecting a big effort at great odds. He is likely to get back early but there is an even spread of speed in the middle, so if they happen to bunch up, he should be there to sweep around them mid race. He is currently $26 with William Hill and that is worth a look each way.

Race 6: 8 to rove with 4,5,7
Noaki Buckley is well drawn and he has won four of his past five in great style, with any sort of luck he should finish in the top two. Noonbarra Joe and Renstar both have early speed and they should be in the mix for most of the journey, whilst Tambay Bale has great mid race speed and he is capable of featuring in a race like this.
