Sportsbet have nothing up but quoted $5.00 odds early this week for GRNSW.
Oddly those prices never appeared on Sportsbet site, and Bet365 is only quoting $3.50. If you can get $5.00 it is money for jam but it seems like its a “gee up”, and $3.00 plus is best we will get. Given there has been no early betting to explain the move from $5.00 (20% chance of winning the race) to $3.50 (almost 30% chance of winning the race), you have to assume the price quoted on GRNSW was wrong.
Don't know whether GRNSW or Sportsbet is to blame, but you would hope accuracy in pricing from the former regulator and now commercial arm of NSW greyhounds and/or its sponsor could be expected. Not sure where the issue lies but the odds markets quoted there are often so far off they are best penned. Their markets are often around 130% while almost all greyhound races now start around 120% whether they are fixed odds or pari-mutual tote markets.
