Wentworth Park betting preview, top tips & odds | Wednesday, 7/9
A very interesting 10 race card for what will be a wonderful mid-week Wednesday night here at Wentworth Park. This is the last chance for any Million Dollar Chase aspirants to have look at the track and get a final tune up before Saturday night's qualifiers. There are some very nice races to try to help you find the winners of, with a quality free for all, a few restricted wins events and good to see a staying race on the program. As always good luck with your investments and please gamble responsibly.
Best Bet – Zipping Orlando (Race 3)
Well what can you say about this son of Zipping Garth and Zipping Dharma that hasn't been said in the last three weeks? Zipping Orlando did everything right for us again last Wednesday night and ran another exceptional time and there is no reason he won't keep the streak alive. He did a couple of minor things wrong three starts back and then charged to the front and stopped the clock in 29.58 seconds which is a top class time and remember that was start number three and his first race look at Wentworth Park. Then two weeks ago week came out and gave nothing else a hope when running 29.53 seconds and then backed that up with another scintillating 29.52 seconds win last week. There is no doubt this boy is destined for very big things. He will be a short price but will be a wonderful way to get some bank for you to play with or to anchor your multis through. So sit back and watch Zipping Orlando Bloom again.
Danger: Flash Heart who has been running best of night times at Richmond recently but can she show enough early to Cross Orlando and give him some trouble?

Next Best Bet – Red Hot Frankie (Race 6)
This son of Feral Frankie and Little Nangar trained by the evergreen veteran Raymond Smith has been exactly as his name suggests “RED HOT” of late. Red Hot Frankie has had two starts here at Wentworth Park and has saluted in grand style, leading all the way on both occasions from what were awkward draws. He gets a slow beginner underneath him tonight which will give him room to move early but will need to make sure he crosses the red early who likes to use plenty of the track. That should be no problem looking at his sectional splits in his two wins here. He will be another that the bookmakers will take no chances with but Cranky Frankie should be able to make it three from three here at headquarters and six from eight overall tonight.
Danger: Devil King who was very good at Goulburn last week but this is a massive step in grade and class but is a dog that looks to be the strongest in the race and will be charging late.

Best Value Bet – Nobel Nigel (Race 5)
Nobel Nigel is a very lightly race dog who has had ten career starts for five wins and four placings. His only miss was over the 365m at Nowra from box six when he blew the start. He has the pace to worry the inside brigade and despite the awkward draw in box five, it is not a bad box here for greyhounds that can begin. If Nigel can find the front we think he will be extremely hard to beat and with Irinka Megan and Zipping Dione stifling the market between them, you may just get yourself a nice dose of over the odds on a dog that could well lead and pinch this race.
