Wentworth Park greyhound preview & racing tips | Thursday, 2/1/25
Thursday night will see Wentworth Park host its first meeting of 2025, with 11 fantastic races to be decided. The first race will begin at 6.58pm local time and there are some exciting greyhounds having important hit-outs before the Derby and Futurity heats in the coming weeks.

Wentworth Park Best Bet – Taormina (Race 2)
Taormina has only had the two starts for two wins in fast times, both at Goulburn, which is the Lord kennel way. She did trial here last week in a quick 29.78, and that time would win this race. She has shown exceptional early pace in her two races to date, pinging the lids and giving nothing else a chance. In NSW’s top kennel and would expect her to lead and win this race on her way to the Futurity.

Wentworth Park Next Best – Young Star (Race 4)
Young Star is another trialling for a spot in the Group 1 races coming up. He has had just the one start for a blistering maiden win in best-of-night time at Maitland. Box eight may just help him here, as he may stay straight down the middle of the track in the early stages of this race otherwise, he may find trouble. There is some real upcoming talent and pace in this race and Young Star could be the best of the lot.

Wentworth Park Best Value – Midnight Money (Race 8)
Midnight Money’s last run at Wenty was off box two when he won easily and clocked 29.65 in the process. He races much better from the inside boxes and draws perfectly in box one for the first time in his career. There is stacks of early pace in this race and they could easily bring each other undone. If Midnight Money is sitting just behind them on the fence early, he is good enough to pounce on them turning for home at very nice odds with the top greyhound bookmakers.
