Wentworth Park racing tips

will turn it on again this Saturday from 6:29pm with a quality maiden final starting off a great night of greyhound racing. So get yourself trackside to see the greyhounds fly, and as always we will try to steer you in the direction of a couple of winners — and hopefully at a decent price.

Best Bet – Wyndra All Class (Race 9)

This daughter of and Winxette did the right thing for us last week, winning in good style and in good time. She did everything right off what can often be an awkward box and now she heads into box two, which has seen her fail at her only attempt from it. However, with a six-dog field and box three vacant she will get plenty of early room and should a winning lead soon after the boxes rise. Daniel Gatt has done a great job with this girl, who now boasts a record of six wins from 11 starts with a couple of placings thrown in, and she will be looking to keep the sequence of picket fences going tonight.

Danger: Unlike You is a dog we have tipped before, and he is the sort that will try and bounce off every other runner in the race at some point. He has been desperately unlucky in a few recent starts and will be storming home in this race. With only six greyhounds in the race, it means only five dogs can check him.

Next Best Bet – Zipper Patrol (Race 5)

This son of and Zakuska Zipper makes his anticipated debut at Wentworth Park this weekend and Natina Howard has won the lottery with the race he has been drawn in, with most of his opponents not having saluted the judge for many weeks, if not months. Meanwhile, this boy has been his way around Gosford, in very good times, and deserves his shot in town. He has now had five starts for three wins and two seconds and seems to have plenty of upside. Add to that Natina's rate here at headquarters and with favourites and may be a very good way to start off your Wentworth Park Saturday night and build up your bank.

Danger: Can complacency be a danger to greyhounds? If not, then maybe with the aid of the inside box Barney Big Ears could cause some concerns for our top pick, but it really is a moderate fifth-grade race there for the taking.

Best Value Bet – Memphis Rock (Race 3)

Brendan Anthes has both box one and box eight in this race, and if the boxes were reversed, we may well be tipping his other dog, , as the value play; however, with the boxes as they are, is our pick. He has only had three starts for Anthes since coming from Victoria and had his first look at Wentworth Park last week from an unsuitable outside box in a much tougher race than this. He raced here on Wednesday and made no impact, but this one sets up much better for him. He definitely goes better off inside draws and has shown pace when in Victoria, so he can can steal this race if he pings. His owner, Glen McKinley, is well known for some astute purchases and a great eye for a greyhound, and hopefully this boy will repay him tonight.
