Beyond Blue Charity Greyhound Lifts Spirits
Named after AW commentator and AFL great Robert Walls, the Chris Johannsen trained youngster has now had three starts for two convincing wins at Sale, and earned $1,500 prize money for her assigned charity, Beyond Blue, which raises awareness about depression in society.
Chief caller Rex Hunt has called Four Walls’ past two wins live on 3AW, with his enthusiasm sending the commentary box into frenzy.
Four Walls is one of five greyhounds in the 3AW Kennel, all of which are named after AW commentators including Buck’s Chance (Nathan Buckley), Caro’s Bookclub (Caroline Wilson), Cork In Ocean (Dennis Commetti) and Rex’s Rookie (Rex Hunt).
The 3AW greyhound promotion has been running throughout each AFL season since 2006, with over $30,000 in prize money raised for three nominated charities – Beyond Blue, Challenge Cancer and the Cerebral Palsy Education Centre.
Four Walls will aim for her third straight win at Cranbourne on Monday, June 30th (Race 7 Box 7 @ 6.12pm).
