Blue Kermaro claims Million Dollar Chase Final in stunning upset
On Friday night, at Wentworth Park, there was a surprise when Blue Kermaro triumphed in the $1 million Ladbrokes Million Dollar Chase after being bought.
Under the guidance of Josh Formosa’s training expertise and dedication, Blue Kermaro’s development as a racing dog paid off as the dog surged ahead of the initial frontrunner Sunset Frazier and competitor Zipping Megatron to clinch the win in an exhilarating race event.
This triumph signified a milestone in Formosa and his companion Ben Peart’s shared experience after acquiring Blue Kermaro for a sum of $10K back in February.
Blue Kermaro had a rough start, with his luck changing when Formosa enrolled him in the Million Dollar Chase competition after he showcased impressive times of 29:20 at Sandown and 29:64 at The Meadows.
During the matchup of Blue Kermaro, against Power And Glory went unexpectedly in Blue Kermaro’s favour; then on Friday, he managed to win more despite odds of $19 with the top Australian bookmakers.
The $2.50 Neds bookmaker favourite Explicit encountered challenges at the beginning and failed to secure a position in the race, finishing in last place.

Zipping Megatron, trained by Jason Magri, came in second place, with Sunset Frazier finishing in third place.
Exploded managed to clinch victory over Ella’s Babe in the Group 2 Sydney Cup race to take home the $40k prize under the guidance of trainer Jason Mackay.
Making a comeback in the final moments of the 720 metre race, claiming the win with a time of 41.70.
The unexpected victory of Blue Kermaro and the triumphant moment of Exploded created an evening at Wentworth Park that will be remembered in the annals of racing history.
