Temora held 14 races on Sunday with Victorian dogs outweighing the win ratio with NSW dogs.
A great day with plenty of racing and a good time was had by all. Many people told us that the grass track at Temora is still one of the best and that it is not the end of grass tracks just yet.
Local trainer, Donna Widdows won the 1st heat of the Blue Paws Maiden with Swanky Pumpkin who flew the boxes to win in 18.05 way ahead of the rest of the field. Place getters were Ella Fella Tella and West Hunter.
The GBOTA Maiden over 457 saw Lady in Blue win in 26.63 for Raymond Maitland with second Britannia Boy and Cool Ruby third.
The 2nd heat of the Blue Paws Maiden saw Victorian trainer Ron Rogers win in a very good time of 17.90 with Miami Lock beating Feliz Navidad and Looney Tune Liam.
Race 4, the Cornford’s Hardware Maiden saw Eltanin Izmir win for Wayne Taylor in 26.42 with My Fella and Miss Enforcer filling the places.
The Blue Paws Heat 3 had another Victorian dog running another good time of 17.82 for Dale Bunn winning with Stealthy Lee. Go Wild Micko and Out of Uniform came in second and third.
The Crutcher’s Supa IGA 457 had Mick Niele win with Kerbmeister in 26.37 with Little Kiss and Molly Brooker filling the places.
Heat 1 of the Nice Products 5th Grade saw She won’t Panick improve to win in 17.95 for Colin Bradley. Second was Future Fashion and third Iluka Betty.
The second of the Nice Products heats saw Quasi Aussie win easily for Ken Richards of Temora in a time of 18.15 with second, Clovalley Chi who has improved since returning home to the owners kennels and third, Vee Bee Kali.
The Nice Products Heat 3 had Victorian Ron Rogers winning in 18.15 with Wee Bit Irish. Second was Phantom Puzzle and third Off the Richter.
Race 10 was the Swanky Park Kennels 570m race which had a good field. Tirranna Blue showed them what to do from the one box leading all the way to win in 33.30 for Rex Cook beating Barrylex and Token Glow.
Race 11, The Piroque Lodge 5th Grade 311m had Glendale Barkly win for Glen Schwencke in 18.36 with Moonlite Teddy and Panfurs filling the places.
Race 13, the 4th Grade Ellis Breust Painting Stakes saw the favourite of the meeting win with a great run home in 18.22 for Gordon Herbert. Kali Ramirez beat Dreamline Boy and Swanky Jade in a photo finish with the fourth dog.
The lucky last, race 14 was the Ag-n-Vet Stakes over 457 which had local dog Calleen Whisper winning easily in 26.24 for Clay Butler and Toby Blunt. Second was Son of Senna and third, Vee Dee Express.

Temora race again next Sunday 15 June with the 2 finals and a Blue Paws 5th Grade over 457.
