Star Wentworth Park trainer believes winning the next month would be the pinnacle of his impressive career.

And he's got a fair chance of achieving that with promising two-year-old bitch Coco Model, who is running in the $9,650 Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg Prelude at Wentworth Park tonight.

Coco Model has already built up an impressive record, with 10 wins from 26 starts.

The last time she saluted was in the 2 Ladbrokes Gold Cup on February 1, winning by a convincing 5.25 lengths.

That was from the one box, and Coco Model will have the same coveted starting lane tonight.

A victory will guarantee her a start among 64 competitors who will line up in the Golden Easter Egg heats starting on March 26.

“Winning the Golden Easter Egg is the pinnacle of greyhound racing,” Bell told AustralianRacingGreyhound.com.

“It's like winning the .

“I'm really happy that she drew the one box, but she's probably better starting from the eight box. She's had three starts from there for three wins.

“She likes to cut across from out wide and get to the front.”

Just like the way she prefers to run her races, Coco Model has made an instant impression on Bell, who was the 2020 NSW trainers' premiership winner.

“She's still learning, but we're really excited about her future. She only just turned two (on February 28),” Bell said.

“She's already won over $50,000, and she's already got a third place in a (the $100,000 Ladbrokes Futurity Final on January 22).”

From Mudgee, Bell has also made an instant impression in Sydney.

In his first season in the NSW capital in 2018 he made an instant impact, winning both the Greyhound Club and Goulburn Greyhound Racing Club premierships.

“When I first got here I had just 10 dogs from the bush, and for the first month I couldn't get a winner,” he said.

“Then things started improving, and we moved on those 10 bush dogs for TAB-class dogs.

“We've now got 10-12 runners everyday between eight of us on the team. We all put a lot of work into it.”
