Consistent Mr. Deniro Ready To Win At Ballarat

Mr. Deniro looms as a good each way chance for punters when Greyhound Club races in the twilight on Monday.

Trained by Ted Sladdin, Mr. Deniro will jump from Box 1 in the Accredited Distributors Grade 4/5 to be run over 550 metres.

Mr. Deniro has already won at the track and distance twice, and is a great chance to add to that record.

“He doesn't always begin as well as I would like, but he certainly tries his heart out in his races.” Sladdin said.

Sladdin believes the son of is better suited by outside , but his race record defies his trainer's belief.

Mr. Deniro has in fact won most of his eight race victories to date from inside box draws.

Mr. Deniro won at two starts back, before receiving a severe check in running at his last start which ruined any chance he had in that race.

“Hopefully he can begin well and hold his position in the race.”

“If can he has a strong finishing burst, which will put him right into contention in the race.”

Mr. Deniro has been a model of consistency on his home track of Ballarat, and is ready to pounce on the leaders in the Ballarat Courier award.

A win today will catapult him to the top of the leader board.

In an open race, the hardest for Mr. Deniro to beat may well be Extreme Instinct and Bronte's Chat.

Extreme Instinct from the kennel has been racing in consistent fashion, and is due to break through for a well deserved win.

Extreme Instinct is exceptionally well bred, being by out of the successful dam Beachley.

The trained Bronte's Chat has won three of her last four starts, but has drawn awkwardly in Box 5.

Bronte's Chat is generally a good beginner, and has already chalked up a win and second from her two starts at the track and distance.
