The son of Cyrus The Virus had a very selective Country Challenge campaign with two finals wins and a second reflecting the quality of a greyhound, who has been a top liner in New South Wales for years.

A Two winner of the John Stollery Final in 2006 and unlucky not to go back to back in 2007, Bim Bam Boom oozes class and although now a rising four year old, his ability at means he will be hard to toss on GRNSW Country Challenge night.

After racing in free for all's and feature races including a win over at headquarters in December, Wayne Cox took Bim Bam Boom up to the Hastings River track at Wauchope where he won his heat and then followed up with a solid second a week later to in the final.

The central west was the setting for the next Country Challenge event for Bim Bam Boom as he had a heat win over . His final appearance was the subject of a gold old fashion betting plunge as he firmed in a full two points from his opening price to start 2/1 and win with a leg in the air by six lengths.

Armidale was the quick backup a week later and he took to the lush New England grass track with aplomb. Again backed in the final, he didn't let his followers down with a tenacious victory in front of a vocal crowd on a perfect summer's day.

Curtailed recently by niggling injuries, Bim Bam Boom still has the fire in the belly and recent runs suggest he still has what it takes to mix it with the best.

A visitor to Wentworth Park on 36 occasions for 10 wins, he certainly knows the Glebe circuit well and is no stranger to big races there. Wayne Cox will have the dog looking a treat for the Showdown final and he certainly has what is needed to taste victory.
