Drill ‘Em Takes Zoom Top
Drill ‘Em won his third Group final in the last six months when he overcame some early trouble to race away from a classy invitational field in the Zoom Top.
Drill ‘Em is somewhat of a transformed chaser from his early sprint days when he appeared to have his mind on other things but since entering the Dave Knocker kennel in the later part of 2009 he has performing in fine style.
Drill ‘Em's win in the Zoom Top was his fourth from five starts at the Meadows showing he has a distinct liking for the track.
Drill ‘Em is Brindle dog whelped March '07 he is by Texas Gold from Geoff's Mate (Ashigga x Executive Maggie). The Group 2 Zoom Top win took his record to 34 starts for 13 wins and 10 placings and prizemoney earnings stand at $125,625. He is raced by the Binborrin Syndicate and trained by David Knocker at Langwarrin.
Winning time and sections for the Zoom Top were 42.76, 4.97(9), 16.14(9) and 29.89(9).
