Everlong Bale Bolts In Toward Port Pirie Cup
Two strong heats for the Cup final were conducted on Sunday 5th of October, with the first being won by Everlong Bale in 30.52 and winning by over 10 lengths. The Shaun Matcott trained bitch is the winner of the recent Strathalbyn Cup and may start favourite in the final on that performance.
Other qualifiers from this heat were Pygmy Power, Sand Hopper and Two Spots, which are all trained by Michael Giniotis.
There is a good representation for locally trained dogs, as heat two went to Bonnie Cool, trained locally by Graham Luland. She won in 30.61, defeating Kanowna Belle (Trevor Hendry) and Classy Ace (Don Fiebig), which are both trained in the north. Fourth home was Spirit Squad, which gave Mike Giniotis his fourth finalist.
The meeting will receive full Sky Channel and TAB coverage.
