Ex You One Looks A Bright One In The Making

Big crowd: great atmosphere: good nights racing. That was the scene at last Tuesday night when members and supporters of Budgewoi Juniors Soccer Club held a fundraising night.

Over 300 people were on course to enjoy the night and being school holidays, many families ventured out to witness some exciting greyhound racing, some of them for the first time.

The most impressive win of the night was that of in race ten a 5th grade 400mt event. Only fairly away Ex You One swept around the outside of the field to score a hollow 6 ¾ lens victory in a very fast 23.09 with a flying first section of 10.79. By Carnage Ex In The Future this owned and trained black dog certainly looks to have a very bright future indeed.

Another young dog to impress on the night was Shane's Dilema who made it three wins at Gosford from his only three race starts. This dog has improved each start and after being out three wide for a fair way came right away to score by 6 ¼ lens in 30.21. Looks like the West clan have a smart one on their hands.

went within 1/100 of his best time on the track when taking out a heat of the 515mt 5th grade. Owned and trained at Gwandalan by Jack Aldridge, Lord Howe took his overall record to 8 starts for 4 wins & 2 minors with 3 of the wins and the 2 minors having been recorded on the Gosford circuit.

Distance racing made a return to Gosford and the trained Forty Twenty returned to her home track to score a good win over & Gold Slammer in 43.82. The run by Smashing Amy to be beaten by only 1 ½ lens at her first try over the long trip was very good, and it should not be long before this Majella Ferguson owned and trained bitch racks up a distance win.

The 600mt 5th grade saw the Dave Righetti trained Locatelli (owned by ) go to the boxes as a short priced favourite. However part owned and trained by G.B.O.T.A. Director finally got some luck early and raced right away to score by 11 ½ lens in 35.30 secs.

This bitch has been running some very smart trials but has been getting into trouble in her races. Now that she is out to a more favourable distance she could pay to follow.

Gosford race again next Tuesday, when the official opening of our new Viewing/Dining areas will take place. A strong card of racing is planned, so why not get along and enjoy a great night out in the comfort of our new modern facilities.
