2020 NSW Greyhound of the Year Flying Ricciardo has kicked off his stud career in-style, with his debutant offspring Lady Ricciardo ultra-impressive over the 320m at Richmond on Friday night in a slick time of 18.27.
Whelped from his first litter out of Irinka Leanne bred by Andrew and Debbie Bell, the 27kg chaser stepped smartly from box four, quickly outpacing the inside runner to race away with the win by 6.75 lengths.

Owned by Flying Riccardio's owner Kristy Sultana and trained by her father Sam, the pair couldn't have asked for a more perfect way to commence their Group 1 Dapto Megastar winner's stud career, which has come with high expectations.
“It's the best feeling ever.” Kristy Sultana said after the win.
“I feel like a proud mum right now.”
In a flooded market of available sires, “Ricci” has managed to attract his fair share of highly coveted broodbitches, undoubtedly hoping to tap into his freakish early speed that saw him victorious in 22 of his 27 career starts.
In addition to his Dapto Megastar win, the son of Barcia Bale and Megalodon also took out the 2020 Group 2 Black Top and clocked one of the fastest times ever recorded at Wentworth Park, being 29.22 in a heat of the 2021 Group 1 Golden Easter Egg.
