Gavin Harris appointed to Greyhound Racing SA board
The Board of Greyhound Racing SA (GRSA) has announced their decision to appoint Gavin Harris as the new Company Director – Industry Experience, in place of the departing director, Ray Fewings.
Harris has been involved in SA greyhound ownership, breeding and training for over two decades since 2000.
Harris is well versed in the industry’s ins and outs as a former Secretary/Treasurer of the Adelaide Greyhound Racing Club for more than ten years, which saw him awarded an honorary life membership in 2022.
In addition, Harris has an impressive business and academic background, possessing an Associate Diploma in Computer Studies and a Masters Degree in Business Administration.
Harris is recognised as a Senior Member of the Australian Computer Society.
Chairman Grantley Stevens expressed excitement about the addition of Gavin Harris to the GRSA Board, noting that his perspectives would greatly contribute to addressing the reform required due to the SA Ashton greyhound inquiry.
“We are excited to welcome Gavin Harris to the GRSA Board,” Stevens said.
“Gavin brings a wealth of knowledge from both inside and outside of the greyhound racing industry and his insights will be valuable as we tackle the recommendations of the Ashton Review.”
