Good Odds Cash on the money in Group 3 Brother Fox heats
Named after one of the greatest greyhounds of all-time in Brother Fox, four star-studded heats were run and won at Dubbo Saturday night over the 516m in the $50,000-to-the-winner Group 3 series event formerly known as the Dubbo Gold Cup.
Frank Hurst's Good Odds Cash (Fernando Bale x Good Odds Meghan) set the time standard in heat three, carving out the journey in a quick 29.31 from box six.
The 2022 Million Dollar Chase (MDC) finalist stepped beautifully at box rise to led throughout, defeating a fast-finishing Zipping Alabama by 4.25 lengths.
Handler Matt Hurst was pleased with her performance from a difficult box.
“We were very happy with the run.
“She worked really hard to overcome the wide draw and finished the race off nicely.”

After a spate of difficult box draws, Hurst managed to select box two in next week's final, securing favouritism to take out the event.
Dubbo Country Classic Final runner-up Fantastic Raven (Fernando Bale x Fantastic Dotty) returned from a month-long spell and didn't disappoint from the inside alley, taking the lead entering the back straight and held off a fast-finishing Explosive Venom to score by half a length in a slick 29.44.

Crowd favourite Billy Creek (Brad Hill Billy x Midnight Jayne) took out the second heat for owner/trainer Ian Gilders from box 6, weaving his way through the field to salute by a quarter of a length over the fast finishing Special Blend who flashed home from box 7 in 29.55.

Zipping Maserati was victorious in the final heat to bring up a winning double for Jason Mackay, in a thrilling four-way go to the line in 29.73. Exiting from box 8, the son of Zipping Garth and Zipping Lilly has now won 5 of his last 7 appearances.
