Greyhound Racing SA Appoints New Senior Steward
Greyhound Racing SA (GRSA) recently announced the appointment of Mr John Winkworth as the controlling body's new Senior Steward.
John has significant experience in regulatory compliance and law enforcement having served over 23 years in both uniform and specialist Criminal Investigation Units within the South Australian Police Department.
“We are delighted to have appointed John to our Integrity and Standards team. His background certainly establishes him as a valuable addition to the Greyhound Racing Industry,” said Mr Paul Marks, Integrity and Standards Manager, Greyhound Racing SA.
John, in turn, echoed Mr. Marks' sentiments saying that he is “looking forward to the challenges of the role and helping develop Greyhound Racing SA's stewarding, animal welfare and industry communication to help the sport continue to grow in South Australia”.
