Hector Fawley captures The Sandgroper in a stunning victory
Hector Fawley, the celebrated greyhound sensation from Victoria, put on a show of speed and determination at Cannington in The $460,000 Sandgroper race on April 18.
Under the guidance of trainers Lisa and Ian Cockerell, Hector surged ahead with a burst of energy to claim a victory in The Sandgroper, leaving the local spectators amazed.
In a thrilling finish, Hector overtook the local favourite Sunset Frazer with an impressive lead of 4 ¼ lengths, finishing the race in just 29.42 seconds as a $17.50 outsider with the leading greyhound bookmakers.
Morton followed behind in third place, trailing by another 1 ½ lengths.

Representing Ladbrokes at this event, Hector Fawley, the offspring of Bernardo and Rolanda Hooch, showcased his exceptional skills and unwavering determination.

His impressive accomplishments have boosted his earnings to $697,585, showcasing his skill and reliability.
While many were focused on Big Energy, who had secured the coveted box one for his highly anticipated return to WA, took an unexpected turn.
A slow start and Sunset Frazier's sudden surge to the front dashed the hopes of Big Energy's supporters.
Big Energy slipped back in the race and finished fourth.
Despite this twist, Sunset Frazier's courageous performance brought hope to fans as he secured a well-deserved second place.
Trainer Dave Hobby celebrated an achievement by clinching second place in the race after Crumble Monellis won last year.
