Litter brothers Mister Moss and Joe Moss made their debuts over 540 yards at Lithgow in 1966, both winning easily (by 20 and 15 lengths respectively) and equalled the track record, held by Two Ties.

Rob's Rebel defeated South Australian star Raven Kelly by almost two lengths to annex the 1994 , run over 720 metres at , in a race record 42.97. Rob's Rebel had finished fifth the previous year behind Trojan Tears.

A totalisator offering win and place betting only started operating at Wentworth Park in 1948. The machinery and installation cost £28,000 ($56,000).

Sonic Wave, a former Victorian stayer, ran 42.09 to break her own track record for 720 metres at Wentworth Park in 1987. Sonic Wave had won on opening night just two months earlier in 42.13 to set the initial time standard on the remodelled circuit.

Waroo Zulu took out the 1990 Distance Championship by three and a half lengths from Silent Scandal and Jezepop.

Future Harold Park super stayer Travel Rev contested his first race, over 500 yards at in 1969 and scored by half a head.

Henry Hand, from New South Wales, took out the 1996 , the first run over 515 metres at Park. Henry Hand, trained by Richie Dean, defeated Sobbing Sal by one length with Hanson's Diamond third. It was the first time the race was worth $100,000 to the winner.

Erratic but brilliantly fast stayer Bunyip Bint ran 42.7 for 800 yards (732 metres) at Harold Park in 1969 to equal her own track and world record which she had set at the course just three weeks earlier. She had become the first greyhound to break 43 seconds for the trip and her record would stand until 1982.

City Blitz became the last winner of a Melbourne Cup to be run over the 511 metres distance, when he scored in the 1995 edition, downing NSW champion Tenthill Doll by a neck with Honcho Whiz a close third.

The first running of the Dapto Puppy Auction Final, which had formerly been known as the Supporter's Club Classic and Dapto , took place in 2006. The event was won by Adris Echo from Sky Lion. The Roger Ancliffe-trained winner took home $50,000 first prize money.

A greyhound track officially opened at Glen Innes in 1934. The first race was won by Sparkling.

Opal Sid set a new track record time of 26.39 for 457 metres at in taking out the final of the 1973 Tamworth Cup by five lengths. The track record, at 26.5, had been set May 1962 by the champion sprinter Rocket Mac and been equalled by Special Notice in 1966 and Kid Springdale earlier in 1973.

smashed the 635 metres track record at Lismore in 2009, running 36.98 to clip 18/100ths off the previous mark, held by set just under a year earlier.

Lord Baden became the second Victorian stayer to win the Summer Cup when he scored in the 1967 event, defeating Trio Star by three and a half lengths, using box one to full advantage.

Garrulous Cru took out the 1993 511-metre Damsel's Dash at Sandown Park by eight lengths from Jim Marl with Alton Towers a further five lengths away third.

I saw Mister Moss win the NCA Derby in 66 I think, unfortunately I backed Blast Off which led to near the post, MM just sat behind and seemed to know where the winning post was that’s 48 years ago so I am showing my age
