Champion Victorian bitch downed fellow Victorian Giant by seven and a half lengths to take out the 1991 Adelaide Cup in a fast 29.95, just 1/100th outside the race record.

The Bendigo Cup was contested over the 545 metres distance for the only time in its long history in 2001. The race was annexed by Renzo Bale from Railroad Wish.

The 2004 Association Cup was won by Irinka Barbie by two lengths from Victorian stayer Skipper Rip. Irinka Barbie ran the 720 metres in 42.54 to break the race record set by Many Tricks by 1/100th.


Linden Lad downed Rodarin Boy in 30 12/16 to take out the 1971 , run over 560 yards at Olympic Park. This was only the second edition of the Maturity Classic and the race was still restricted to male greyhounds.

The first of what would be two Maturity Classic finals were run in 1982. This initial version was won by Wynlee Spirit from Spaetzel. A second running took place in December.


Yaroun Express set a new track record time of 41.33 for 699 metres at Cranbourne in 2001.

Trainer Troy Murray snared the quinella in the 2006 final of the Adelaide Cup when his charge Miss Spicy downed kennelmate Vizcaya by five lengths.

won the 2008 Association Cup by just over five lengths from Gold Slammer for trainer , running a fair 42.97 for the 720 metres trip.


The 500 metres track record at Hobart was equalled twice on the same night in 1973 by Kui Kohe and Jenny Caboleah, both running 29.5 to match the mark set just a week earlier by Stylish Dancer.

Warranwood Girl took out the 1975 Maturity Classic from box one, defeating Spot Monaro and Helen's Rambler and earning $3,500 for her connections.

The brilliant Spread Eagled did just that to his rivals in the final of the 1990 , downing Franklin Deano by four and a half lengths.


Croation Star, trained by Joe Perovic, won the 1993 Adelaide Cup (512 metres) by two lengths from Gun Law Osti with Casino Tom third. True To Do, the only female in the field, trailed home at the tail of the field.

In one of the closest finishes ever witnessed for an Association Cup final, Rob's Rebel defeated Mr Arkwright by a nose with Miss Cruise a half-head away third in the 1995 running.
