“Honest” Krebs Flegg’s Hope For Tonights Breeders Final

Trainer Frank Flegg will be hoping that his chaser can take out the Greyhound Grade 5 Breeders Final at Morshead Park tonight.

“He's no superstar, but he's a very honest chaser who goes well.” Flegg said.

Krebs for the final with an impressive all the way win in last week's heats.

The versatile chaser has already saluted the judge over tonight's race distance, and will be looking to make it three wins at the track and distance.

The son of recorded the fastest first split time last week, and will be suited by his Box 3 draw.

Flegg described the field for tonight's final as “very even, with any of the runners capable of taking out the race.”

“Hopefully he (Krebs) can get a clear run early. If he can he will be a good chance of taking out the final.”

Krebs is one of a litter of eight which were bred and reared by Flegg.

A hobby trainer for the last ten years, Flegg is ecstatic that all of the litter have gone on to record victories on the track.

Hardest for Krebs to beat in the final will be Holstein Miss and Ocky's Boy.

Holstein Miss from the kennel will jump from outside Krebs in Box 4.

She recorded the fastest heat wining time in her all the way win last week.

Ocky's Boy is trained by Ian Dann and has drawn the coveted Box 1, which suits his style of racing.

Last week Ocky's Boy was only moderately out of the boxes, but stormed home along the rails to overrun Buddy Love in the straight.
