Joanne Black’s Dexamethasone Penalty Upheld On Apppeal
Greyhound Racing NSW advises that Mr David Armati has ruled on the appeal of trainer Ms Joanne Black against a charge under GAR 83 (2)(a), imposed by GRNSW Stewards following inquiries into the greyhound Jethro Gibbs testing positive to a prohibited level of Dexamethasone at the Goulburn meeting on 6 August 2011.
Ms Black appealed against the decision of Stewards to impose a fine of $1200. The appeal hearing was conducted on Wednesday 14 December 2011.
The appeal against the severity of the fine was dismissed and Ms Black's appeal deposit was forfeited. Jethro Gibbs was disqualified from the race.
