Kel Greenough Set To Say Hello and Good Bye To Queensland Derby

The looks at the mercy of the Victorian owned and trained Hello Good Bye, after drawing box 1 in the $40,000 to the winner final.

The son of Bombastic Shiraz and Hello Sienna clocked the second quickest time after flying out from box 6 in his heat. The October 10 chaser looks a dead set moral to win the rich final.

If you happen to have read our of the heats last week I was quietly confident a big race was right around the corner for Hello Good Bye, and it appears as if Thursday night will be the night. He has really developed into a serious race dog since joining 's kennel.

Mark Azzopardi will rug up two chances, fastest heat winner and dual Derby winner Jagger Swagger from box 7, and new first section record holder Transcend Time. The later clocked a blistering 5.57 first sectional last week and in the process lowered the record and he appears to hold the key to the race.

Mark Azzopardi has all but given up any hope of winning declaring Hello Good Bye near unbeatable from the rails.

Transcend Time will no doubt lead the race and he does go straight and is sure to give Hello Good Bye a drag right into the race.

Jagger swagger will certainly have his work cut out and he has no chance of running Hello Good Bye Down from behind.

It would appear nothing more has to be said about the final, but there is 5 other runners who will be doing there best to upset the apple cart.

Andrea Daily provides the other interstate hopeful and Veyron Bale will carry the hopes of the Daily crew, although he began brilliantly last week he will be afforded no luxury like last week and will need to begin even better to find clear running in a race full of high speed.

Four local hopefuls have made their way through to the 2 Derby and there doesn't appear to be a standout between the locals.

The fastest qualifier of the local brigade is the trained Flying Tee, although he was beaten in his heat he posted the fastest time running 30.11 when being placed behind the likely final favourite Hello Good Bye. At no stage did the young gun shrug the task when chasing home the flying Hello Good Bye. Having only started 9 times the son of and Flying Tee will no doubt prove a force to be reckoned with win loose or draw in Thursday's final.

Sandra's second finalist is in fact the quickest runner in the field with a PB of 29.77. Top Story a son of and Bomber Babe returned in last weeks heats after a injury enforced spell, and he will be greatly improved by last weeks first up performance. Although he is a super chaser and a speed machine, I doubt whether he is able to salute here barring a whole deal of trouble.

Peter Ruetschi's final hopeful and last weeks heat winner Captain Clarrie, will once again fly the flag for all home breeders across the nation. He began brillianlty last week and was never in doubt running a slick 30.16 when wining his heat at juicy odds of $11.70. The son of Elite and Classy is part of a successful repeat mating and he looks an outside chance in final.

Our last but not least finalist is another home bred runner Pharmocopia. Trained by Margaret Quarrel, the son of and Kathy's cannot be overlooked in this seriously competitive final. His best time has come from box 8, when he flew out in a fast 5.73 and raced away to score in a PB of 30.17. I doubt wether he can get across from box 8 here and he appears to be a very rough chance.
