Bravo had a Wednesday night to remember securing two finalists with Kayda Shae, who clocked a sizzling time of 24.99 and Ride The Rails stopped the clock at 25.14. Kayda Shae started at $2.10 in heat four, with group victor Luca Neveelk all the rage at $1.90. Miss Mayflower was best away at box rise from the four alley, with Kelly Bravo’s fawn chaser hot on her heels in the early stages. After whizzing past the leader, this son of Kilty Lad and Cosmic Aphrodite careered away up the straight to score by 3.75 lengths and secure his sixth win from eight starts.
Bravo’s other finalist Ride The Rails was third fastest away and took the lead halfway around the home turn when the early leader appeared to injure herself. This son of Cosmic Chief and Pearl Napoleon streaked away in the latter stages, saluting by 7.75 lengths and recorded his 24th victory from start number 64.
Azza Azza Azza successfully returned from a three week spell last night and justified his skinny odds of $1.40 with an impressive 25.19 performance. Starting from box five, trainer Wayne Vassallo would’ve been pleased with his start, jumping second and mustering good early pace to take the lead approaching the home turn. This son of Collision and Alotta Mojo secured the win by a length and a half over Mepunga Ranger, who was brave in defeat and challenged the leader right to the finish. Azza Azza Azza has a sensational career record of 25 wins from 38 starts and expect improvement on the clock in next week’s final.
Other heat winners included Dyna Villa in 25.25, Gracas King in 25.13, Midnight Ride in 25.13, Ronray Spirit in 25.27 and Bills Back in 25.20.
