Muswellbrook Cup Final rescheduled for morning start
The highly anticipated Muswellbrook Cup, set to take place on Sunday, December 15, has been rescheduled to a morning timeslot to combat the forecasted extreme heat later in the day.
The first race is now scheduled for 10:04 am AEDT, with the final event set to conclude by 12:56pm. This adjustment ensures the safety and comfort of both greyhounds and spectators amid rising temperatures.
The Muswellbrook Cup meeting will feature ten races, culminating in the prestigious Muswellbrook Cup Final, which boasts a $25,000 winner’s purse and will now be run at 11:12 am in race 8.
Organisers have also adjusted the deadline for scratchings, which will now close at 4:00 pm on Saturday, December 14, to align with the updated schedule.
Despite the changes, the Muswellbrook Greyhound Racing Club remains optimistic that the event will still deliver a thrilling and enjoyable experience for all involved.
