Nangar Larry claims thrilling 2024 Bulli Gold Cup victory
Nangar Larry triumphed in the Group 2 Ladbrokes Bulli Gold Cup (472m) on Friday night in a thrilling display of canine skill.
The competition saw a showdown between the $3.20 bookmaker favourite Nangar Larry and his kennelmate Nangar Jim.
Guided by trainer Andy Lord, Nangar Larry impressively clinched his Bulli Gold Cup title with a time of 26.35 seconds.

This victory marked an achievement for Lord, adding to his track record of successes. Since the holiday season, Nangar Larry has been consistently delivering performances, narrowly missing the Goulburn track record (24.24) and securing a podium finish in the Group 1 Paws Of Thunder event behind Dutch Riot and My Hepburn.
His recent win at the Bulli Gold Cup cements Nangar Larry's reputation as an up-and-coming talent in greyhound racing.
With a record of 17 wins from 35 starts, he has brought pride and joy to his ownership group, which includes Ryan Papenhuyzen, from rugby league and AFL player Tom Papley as part of the Punters HQ Syndicate.
Hayley Moffitt, the daughter of trainer Andy Lord, shared her joy and gratitude following the race.
She highlighted the importance of this victory for their family and praised Nangar Larry's performance.

Looking ahead, Nangar Larry is aiming for success in the Temora Cup, with a prize of $40,000 (457m) set to kick off on March 3.
