NSW GWIC give Temora Cup final all clear

Greyhound racing

NSW Greyhound Welfare & Commission () have issued a short statement today saying that they have given the all clear on the 2020 Cup final, finding nothing that compromised the integrity of the race.

The green light comes just two days after the dramatic announcement that the GWIC were investigating the feature Temora race following information received.

The short GWIC statement reads “The Greyhound Welfare & Integrity Commission has completed an investigation into the running of race 6 at Temora on Sunday 8 March 2020.”

“The Commission received a complaint alleging irregular actions of racing officials prior to the start of the race.”

“The investigation has concluded that the race was conducted according to the racing and that there was no impropriety by any racing official.”

No comment from GWIC was made regarding the actions of the starter just prior to the race start. The actions were clearly evident on the race replay.

The Temora track is a controlled greyhound track.
