2012 Golden Easter Egg Consolation “The Ambrosoli” Set For A Cracking Call
Following four semi-finals of the 520m Group 1 Macro Meats Golden Easter Egg at Wentworth Park tonight, the final line up for next week's Golden Easter Egg consolation final has been determined.
In a new move, greyhounds finishing third and fourth in the semi-finals qualified automatically for the $25,000 to the winner final.
After being squeezed early, Wentworth Park 520m record holder was unable to run down semi-final three leaders Fancy Dean, Hot Irish and Adam Meway.
Trainer Mary Wright said following the run she was still pleased with the greyhound and even more elated drawing box eight in the Ambrosoli; Golden Easter Egg consolation.
The Group 3 event has also seen well credentialed Tasmanian greyhound Rewind draw box one, and 2011 Golden Easter Egg placegetter Adam Meway draw box seven.
The box draw for the event was conducted trackside following the completion of all semi-finals.
