Jedd Lion’s Dapto Auction Classic

($6.10) has brilliantly taken out the 2009 Group 2 Country Winnebago Auction Classic last Thursday night.

Beginning well from box number three Jedd Lion took a prominent position behind the early leader On Parole($5.00) he railing superbly into second spot out of the first turn and was always going to be a chance from there At that point in the final there was a bit of a scrimmage and the $1.80 favourite Puddy Muddles was in trouble and looked out of play.

Still chasing hard Jedd Lion reached the leader On Parole at the home turn, he raced to the front as they turned for home and looked the winner, Teriv ($27.30) had been in third position from the start and was running on off the back, however he didn’t make any ground on the two leaders with Jedd Lion surging to the line in an impressive performance to score by a length and a quarter in the fast time of 29.85 a personal best at Dapto.

The gallant On Parole finished second holding out Teriv by a length and three quarters for third with the unlucky favourite Puddy Muddles making up a lot of ground to finish fourth.
