Olsen Gets $500 Fine For Sandown Greyhounds Damage
In this, the second GRV Stewards Inquiry finalised this week that involved incidents from previous years, the inquiry centred around property damage at Sandown Park by James Olsen.
GRV Stewards on 11th June 2009 conducted an inquiry into alleged damage of property at the premises of the Sandown Greyhound Racing Club on the 16 April 2008.
Stewards heard evidence from Mr. James Olsen.
After hearing the evidence, Stewards charged Mr. James Olsen with a breach of GAR 86(o) in that he caused damage to property at the Sandown Greyhound Racing Club premises which in the opinion of Stewards constituted misconduct.
Mr. James Olsen pleaded guilty to the charge.
Stewards found Mr. James Olsen guilty as charged and fined him the sum of $500.
No explanation as to the extent of the damage involved, or more importantly why it took 14 months to hear such a petty inquiry, was forthcoming from GRV.
