The upset win was his first since taking out the Capelbourne Cup at Capalaba on Day last year.

On The Radar’s trainer was delighted with the performance.

“I am so pleased with his run today, as it was his first win in 12 months since he won the 2022 Capelbourne Cup,” Moulds told Australian Racing Greyhound.

“I was surprised he was at such long odds and was even more surprised that he was the $1.40 favourite in his last start on Wednesday.

“I was so proud of him even though he pooed in his race kennel, and I had to actually hose him down before I put the race rug on him.

“But all was forgiven.”

In his last start, on November 11, he ran a decent third, finishing less than two lengths behind the victorious Queen Norma.

“He raced on Wednesday just gone and got a nice third, so I backed him up today and he collected the chocolates for his owners,” Moulds said.

Having started his career with before moving to trainer Brett Hastie, he joined the Moulds kennel in August this year.

“A friend of mine actually had the dog after he was with Terry Priest,” Moulds said.

“When Terry got sick and my friend could not commit to coming up to Capalaba every week, he asked if I could take the dog.

“I said yes, as I can commit to going to Capalaba every week.”

Moulds said On The Radar would be leading out the field in Tuesday’s running of the Capelbourne Cup before racing in the fifth-grade final at Capalaba next Sunday.
