Rapid Sally Returns To The 600 And Form At Casino

A return to the staying distance helped Rapid Sally regain her best form at the meeting last Friday.

Since resuming from a spell she has been thereabouts in sprinting events, but going over the 620 metres allowed her to take up the leader's position, and free wheeling with a lap to go, she held a big lead.

The issue was never in doubt as he was running a fast 27.39 up front, and he scored by two lengths. Later, Bralyn Lilly was able to come again to take out the Ranvet stake. After leading, she was headed on the circle but when the leaders jammed, Lilly got around them and went on to win by 1 3/4 lengths.

After a string of minor placings, rewarded trainer Trevor Salmoni witha solid win in the Westlawn Finance maiden clocking 23.52, whilst Lucy's Image ran 23.26 in winning the to Casino Final for Keith Boan.

Robyn's Karanne who had been contesting Free For All's over the 411 metre trip, appreciated the drop in class to take out the Casino Rural Traders fifth grade in 27.74 for , and Maxie's Charoit ran his best race on home soil when he ran 27.50 for Neil Falls.

Casino will race again on Friday afternoon with the opening race at 12.30pm.
