Well boxed sprinter Calamber returned to her best form with a solid win in the Buckingham Chuck stake at Casino last .

Wearing the pink rug, as is the fashion for the month, she kept a straight line from the boxes, and whilst her opponents jostled inside her, she was able to swoop over at the first turn and grab the lead.

Sprinting away, she had enough in hand to win by 1 1/2 lengths in a handy 23.51. She is by former winner Hot Syrup.

It was the second win on the day for local trainer as earlier Nice Dash had led all of the way in the Westlawn Finance 5th grade. She came out beautifully, and took over at the first bend to run 27.85.

Four heats of the Maiden series were conducted with the fastest qualifier being Charlie Northfield's Sassy Giselle. She ran 23.24 in holding off a determined Bralyn Riley. Next best was Rob Duncan's Beau We Know, who was never headed in recording 23.45.

He was always prominent in a three dog “war” at the top turn and finished well along the paint to take out the Casino RSM Club stake. There were some hard luck stories with Sammy's Tears who led them up resuming from a break, and Bralyn Alvin being three wide.

Jolly Jonna showed all of her customary early pace to lead throughout in 23.11 for , and Bralyn Beau ran the fastest over 484 metres when he ran 27.52 for . He came out with them, but put in a powerful burst in the middle stages to win by 5 3/4 lengths.

Glen and Jake Northfield rounded off the day in winning the last two events. Dayseas Hodgie railed under the leader on the circle to clock 23.38, whilst the much improved Sebastian Vale made it two in on the trot in running 23.59.
