Ruby State An Emphatic Tweed Heads Winner

Spectators were treated to a great day's racing at Border Park on Saturday, with several runners putting their paw up for run of the day.

Indeed nominations were up and the performances on track reflected the pedigree of greyhound we had running.

Race one over 420m was won by Bay Thirteen for in 23.90sec ahead of Pure thing and Mooball Priest.

It was a good run for Bay and its win means Troy has won the first for two weeks running so look out for him in race one next week.

In the second it was Pocket Dynamo for Neil Gates in 23.80 who crossed first in front of Kay Cee Jet and Black Dragon, and as Pocket was the ‘Jackpot Greyhound', Neil picked up an extra $310 which I'm sure will do nicely coming up to Christmas.

Race three was all about Sudoku Kid, who made it three from three at BPR, winning in 24.05 from Perplexity and Sacrifice.

In the fourth it was Ron McCalman trained Teddy To Go running first, with On Display second in a very good run, and Cloud Dancer third, while in the fifth, over 520m, jumped straight to the front and was never headed, taking it out in a 29.81 ahead of Touch of Love and Super Surfer.

Trained by Troy Sharpe for James Osborn, there are plenty more wins in Ruby's tank, and it was great to see Jimmy back on track.

Race six, as picked, was taken out by Diamond Series, who won easily over Cheeky Prince with Katandra and Suzy Teys dead-heating for third, while in the seventh, it was for over Scarlet Bay and Steal De Bullion.

The eighth was won by Ivory Spy in 23.74 for over Ocean in Motion and Silver Rhonda.

Ivory will be hard to beat next week in the final, but will have stiff competition from the winner of the ninth and final race on Saturday, Tricky Uno, who made it four from four with victory over Goodna Special and Kee in the last.

Greyhounds return to Border Park next weekend and as it will be the final meet before Christmas, admission is free.

So see you there.
