Angle Park’s Abandoned Races Cause Breeders Plate To Be Rescheduled To This Thursday Night

The last four races at Angle Park last Thursday were abandoned due to an overheating issue with the motor on the lure.

One of the abandoned races was the Group 3 $36,000 SA Breeders Plate Final which was due to be run as Race 8. After maintenance staff on the night was unsuccessful in resolving the motor issue it was determined by the stewards that the remainder of the meeting be abandoned.

Friday morning GRSA ground staff and electricians were on site to investigate the problem. After repairs and testing of the lure it appears the issues been rectified, therefore, racing and trialling will continue as normal.

Greyhound Racing SA in consultation with the trainers of the greyhounds engaged in the SA Breeders Plate have decided to transfer the race to this coming Thursday night’s program (May 24th ) as an extra race making it a bumper 12 race program. Normal policy has applied to the remainder of the races.

Tattsbet have also advised that the Trifecta Jackpot of over $15,000 will also be transferred onto the final this week.
