Shanghai Suzie stunning performance at Wentworth Park
Shanghai Suzie served up a lead all the way performance to win at Wentworth Park on Saturday night.
In her first start after a six-week break, the Gregory Remfry-trained chaser was sent out as race favourite with online greyhound bookmakers, paying $2.60.
Her last start was on May 13 at Wentworth Park with a runner up finish over the same 520m trip she ran on Sunday.
Out of box seven, she got a clean jump to find a perfect alley for her to take the lead soon after box rise.
As she swung the bend, she put two lengths on the field heading into the straight.
Whirlwind Ethics ($10) stormed home wide to challenge but would have to settle for runner up as Shanghai Suzie took the win.
She won by 0.13 length in front of Whirlwind Ethics and Carter O’brien ($6), in a time of 30.20.
