Spring Honour Takes Out Group 3 Brian Johnstone Final
The Group 3 Brian Johnstone Final was run and won at Angle Park over the 530m on Thursday night, with popular local Greg Board claiming victory with Spring Honour.
Stepping cleanly from box seven, the son of Fernando Bale and Sheeza Nitro crossed the field to take the lead at the first turn and led throughout in a time of 30.71, scoring by 0.75 lengths at the finish.
The 30kg lightweight fought off a late challenge from Finniss Surprise (Ryan Tugwell), producing a sensational effort from box five as the $34 outsider of the field.

Pre-race favourite Yarramundi Paul (Vadim Roz) despite jumping smartly, found interference at the first turn and flashed home to finish 1.5 lengths away in third.
It was the white and brindle chaser's 8th career win from start 21, having not been out of the placings in his past 7 starts.
He now joins the honour roll, including the likes of Ernie Bung Arrow (2014), Weblec Belle (2015) and Worm Burner (2016) as previous victors.
