Tri Star Series Continues At Ballarat
After filling the maximum eight heats in the first leg of the Tri-Star series at Bendigo earlier this month, a number of new nominations are expected for the remaining two legs of the Tri-Star, which is open to greyhounds whelped on or after April 1st, 2006.
“Prize money in each leg of the series is $7,000 for first, $2,000 for second and $1,000 for third, plus $1,180 just for winning a heat, which is big dollars for a country event.”
“On top of this, a special $10,000 bonus will go to any greyhound that wins two of the three finals, and those that don't win that bonus can win a free service to champion sire Bombastic Shiraz (valued at $3,300) if they are judged the most consistent greyhound throughout the entire series”.
The Bendigo leg was won by local sprinter Dancing Lights on July 9, with Ballarat (Heats July 23rd, Final July 30th) and Geelong (Heats August 8th, Final August 15th) to host the remaining two legs.
