Tri Star Series Continues At Ballarat

Greyhound Racing Victoria's is confident that come 's 12pm deadline, nominations will be plentiful in the chase for the big prize money and bonuses on offer in the upcoming Tri-Star Series (450 metres).

After filling the maximum eight heats in the first leg of the Tri-Star series at earlier this month, a number of new nominations are expected for the remaining two legs of the Tri-Star, which is open to greyhounds whelped on or after April 1st, 2006.

“Prize money in each leg of the series is $7,000 for first, $2,000 for second and $1,000 for third, plus $1,180 just for winning a heat, which is big dollars for a country event.”

“On top of this, a special $10,000 will go to any greyhound that wins two of the three finals, and those that don't win that bonus can win a free service to champion sire (valued at $3,300) if they are judged the most consistent greyhound throughout the entire series”.

The Bendigo leg was won by local sprinter Dancing Lights on July 9, with Ballarat (Heats July 23rd, Final July 30th) and (Heats August 8th, Final August 15th) to host the remaining two legs.

Winners of each final also receive a bonus of $800 if they are registered with the Greyhound Owners & Breeders Incentive Scheme ().
