Unleash Collinda retires from racing, embraces stud career

Unleash Collinda, a superstar of greyhound racing, has officially decided to retire from the sport and begin a chapter, as a stud dog.

Stephanie Tyler, the owner made this announcement after an unfortunate injury occurred during a race at Healesville on Sunday. Unleash Collinda, born to Beast Unleashed and Audacious Bell, had a career with 73 races under his belt.

He achieved a record of 43 victories, 19 placings while earning a remarkable $333,000.

His talent and consistent performance made him a tough competitor on the tracks.

With the torn back muscle set to take upwards of 6 months, Stephanie Tyler and the team decided that Unleash Collinda has already done what he needs and deserves to enjoy a nice retirement.

Throughout his racing career Unleash Collinda demonstrated abilities by setting two track records at Healesville and winning the 2 just three starts before sustaining his injury.

He won the National Straight Track Championship at Healesville, achieved second place finishes in various other Group 2 events, such as the Cup, and .

While its unfortunate that Unleash Collinda's racing career ended abruptly his resilience and determination were evident, in his moments.

Despite the seriousness of his injury he somehow walked away, from the Healesville track on Sunday making it seem like he was not badly hurt. However a thorough examination on Monday uncovered the severity of his injury, which led to the decision for him to retire.

The upcoming litter of puppies from Unleash Collinda will be fathered by the group 1 champion Collinda Patty further solidifying his reputation, in the world of greyhound racing.
