Upsets abound in Ipswich QGOLD series heats
The heats of the Ipswich QGOLD race series were run on Tuesday night in Ipswich over the 520m, serving up upsets in three of the five heats including a Ray Mears-trained chaser at +8000 odds.
Flying Promise, who started at +8000 with greyhound betting sites, caused the biggest upset of the night in the final heat, beating home +210 second favourite Narkunda ($2.90).
Flying Promise, the daughter of Zambora Brockie x Prater's Promise, was at the rear of the pack early before running through on the rail and using that alley perfectly to win in a time of 31.18.

The best time of the five heats was run by the Selena Zammit-trained Another Chance storming home in 30.48 by 2.75 lengths.
Another Chance started a long odds-on favourite with greyhound bookmakers paying -285.71 at start time.
Jumping from the six box, Another Chance moved in to second early, soon after box rise, and the result thereafter was a foregone conclusion.
He beat home Captivate, while early leader Hot Tyson compounded to finish third.

The son of My Redeemer and Lily Sur Seine made it ten wins from 27 starts, winning as the shortest favourite on the Ipswich greyhound racing card.
Another Chance's win gave Zammit a QGOLD series heat double, after greyhound odds favourite Brimstone won the opening heat in 30.49 as a -200 chance on greyhound betting apps.
From the boxes, the second favourite, the Jedda Cutlack-trained Ayrton; hit the lead off the back of a clean break with Brimstone chasing.
Armed with a powerful finish, Brimstone overtook Ayrton in the final metres to take the win on the line.

It was the second win-in-a-row at Ipswich for Brimstone after the son of Flying Fired Up and Agame won at the track and distance on June 17.
In the second QGOLD heat, Spot On Lads trained by Greg Brennan served up another upset wining at odds of +1500, while the odds-on favourite Valhalla finished out of the placings.
The run was not made easy for the eventual winner, who led early before being checked back to third by Rebel Blaster.
In the run for home though, Spot On Lads was able to rail up under the tiring leaders and claim the win in the shadows of the post.

The My Redeemer x Ellie Grace chaser ran the heat in 30.76 winning by 1.25 lengths at his 41st start and his first look at the Ipswich 520.
Former NT greyhound trainer Jamie Hosking trained the winner of the third heat when Pebble's Girl caused yet another upset, winning at odds of +2000, while beating +120 favourite Live Stream.
Exiting from box eight, Pebble's Girl raced out wide before dropping down to the rail through the first corner behind early leader Fancy A Scotch.
In the run the the line Pebble's Girl used the inside running to advantage to drive up late under the leader.

The daughter of Arnhen Villain an Rimba Sambia stepped out on Tuesday night for her 73rd start and won her heat by 2.25 lengths in a time of 30.60.
