Wee Bit Irish Way Too Good

Wee Bit IrishTemora held another good meeting of 14 races on the card with 2 finals and a nice sunny day after a miserable week. The residents joined us for the day of racing.

Race 1, the GBOTA Maiden 311m stakes saw a good race with Abikair's Pride jumping to the lead to win all the way in 18.22 for Jill Woulfe of . Second was and third, Blind Spot.

Race 2 was the Cornford's Hardware 457 Maiden. There was a good line up with the 1 dog, Benson Bale being the favourite. They jumped and the favourite went to the lead followed closely by who railed beautifully around the bend to win up the inside by 2 ½ lengths for trainer Donna Widdows in 26.53 with Benson Bale and Hale Haven filling the places.

Race 3, the Crutcher's Supa IGA 5th Grade 311m had Couridjah Lass win in18.30 for M Pinney with City Style and Walkabout Roxy filling the places.

Race 4, the Neil Grimmer 4/5 grade 457m saw local favourite jump to the lead and just get further ahead of the rest to win easily in 26.18 for Toby Blunt and Clay Butler. Calleen Whisper will be a dog to watch in the future. Second was Little Kiss and third, Just Do It.

Race 5 was the Ag-N-Vet 4th Grade and Victorian, Mick Niele won with Glenfine in 17.98 with Dana Jack and Out There Carter.

Race 6 was the Ellis Breust Painting 570m and saw Dee Prince win very convincingly in 33.44 for John McCallum. A really fine dog on this track who won from Sure Pawed and Witch Barkly.

After a rough start in the final of the Blue Paws, Stealthy Lee led easily around the bend on the run home. Pumpkin and Ella Fella Tella were closing in fast but at the post, that's how they finished in 18.01. In the Presentation, from Victoria thanked the club, praised the condition of the track and will be returning soon.

Race 8 was the final of the Nice Products 5th Grade 311 where we had a good field seeing any of them with the ability to win as most of them broke the 18 seconds last week. Clovalley Chi jumped well to lead around the bend with favourite Typhoon Shoes falling just out of the boxes being tailed off with Wee Bit Irish and She Won't Panick in hot pursuit. Towards the winning post, Wee Bit Irish took the lead with She Won't Panick running into second and Clovalley Chi, third in 17.94.

The President spoke on behalf of the race sponsor, Nice Products and the trophy sponsors, Leichhardt/Annandale Branch and the Temora Capital Chemist. The President thanked the sponsors for their help to our club in presenting the trophies to Ron Rogers also of Victoria. Ron thanked the Temora Capital Chemist, Leichhardt/Annandale branch, Nice Products and the Temora Club on getting great sponsors such as these in country racing. He also praised the club on having a great track and will be looking forward to coming back.

The Alan Rand Maiden 457m went to the Cherryl Bradley trained, Perfect Patterns who gave nothing else a chance winning easily in 26.41 with Serious Quest, second and third in was Britannia Boy.

Race 10, the Max Derrick Produce went to the Gordon Herbert trained Late Show Kali from the Fast finishing Little Miss Hero and third was Swanky Suzie in 18.46.

The Piroque Lodge Stakes went to the Brian Lord trained Harry Grondo who led all the way in 26.50 from Lady in Blue and Break The Law.

The Swanky Park 311m 5th Grade saw the reserve dog win for Mick Niele of Victoria. won from locals, Stone the Crows and in 18.27.

led all the way over the 457m Rands Electrical Stakes for Glen Schwencke with Park Intent running home well for second and Corendan third in 26.62.

The lucky last, the Harmer Painting Stakes went to After Shock who is trained by in 18.04 from Hot Line Ellie and Swanky Loch.

The Temora Club will run a Blue Paws 457m 5th Grade at our next meeting on the 29th June.
