Elektra Loses But Still Proves Dominance

In another dominant performance, ( ~ Natural Class), managed to lose Saturday night's Stayer's Prelude at Cannington by 1 3/4 lengths to Oyster Attack (Strike Attack ~ Taylah Ruth) in a time of 42.15 for the winner. But to say she was a little unlucky would be an understatement.

This weekend at Cannington in Western Australia will see the two opening events of the Perth Cup Carnival that is highlighted by the running of the $125,000 to the winner 1 Perth Cup and Australia's richest staying event, the $75,000 to the winner Sky Channel Galaxy.

Fields will be available later today for the Swan Draught Interstate worth $22,500 to the winner, and the Group 3 Swan Draught Interstate Stayers Challenge, also worth $22,500 to the winner.

Our last story on Elektra provoked this outburst from “Darren”.

Elektra, Australia's best stayer? Cut it out mate, had his chance against the best in Victoria and NSW and couldn't cut it, and now he's beating up on some other Interstate rejects among a few locals is hardly evidence of Australia's best stayer!

But with many of the eastern states stayers running inconsistently and ( ~ Deloris) scratched from last weekend's Group 3 Globe Memorial Chase at , the door seems open for Elektra to stamp her authority on Australia's group staying events on her home turf.

How could you describe the comments as an outburst? It’s basically the truth.
