Rocket Riot qualifies quickest for Wentworth Park’s Young Star final
Rocket Riot stopped the clock with the fastest time of the eight heats of the Young Star at Wentworth Park on Saturday night.
The Peter Lagogiane-trained chaser started in the 520m heat as the race favourite, paying -105.26 on greyhound betting apps.
Out of box four, he got out to hit the front and led the entire trip to win by 2.0 lengths in 29.60.

The winning time improved his previous best time of 29.63, clocked in his first run at the track and trip on May 5, when beating home Cartel Model by 4.25 lengths.
Rocket Riot ran in a Million Dollar Chase City Qualifier when he fell and finished fifth in a seven-dog field.
From a Barcia Bale litter of four whelped in June 2021, Rocket Riot is the most successful from his litter out of his dam Princess Riot.
Rocket Riot has had 15 career starts with nine wins and two minor placings and has banked $25,020 in prize money.
He will now line up in the $25,000-to-the-winner Young Star Final on Million Dollar Chase final night to be held on October 13.
He will be joined by the other winners of the heats in Blue Falcon (29.82), Charlm Dancer (30.05), Overflow Beau (29.75), Emgrand Centre (29.85), Fernando Quality (29.74), Charlm Outlaw (29.85) and Time To Go (29.79).
Last year's edition of the Young Star was won by Zipping Orlando who was undefeated after eight starts at the time.
