Richmond Friday tips, value bets & quaddie picks | Friday 8/11/24
Richmond will host a star-studded 12-race program this Friday night, with the first event set to begin at 7:19pm local time. There will be races over all of Richmond’s distances, and the highlight will be the four heats of the fifth-grade series run towards the end of the night. Australian Racing Greyhound has studied the form to find you three of the best.
Race 9: Flash Jet (5)
Flash Jet is five from five in his career, all here over this trip. The Scott Morgan-trained chaser is awkwardly drawn in box five, but he has exceptional pace and should be able to overcome that obstacle. He is the only dog in the race that has broken the 18-second mark over this trip, and as long as he avoids any early interference, Flash Jet should be making it six from six in this heat.

Race 12: Ubiquitous (7)
Ubiquitous has been flying on the new Taree track, posting three wins in a row in best-of-day times before missing the start last week and finishing fourth. While he is new to Richmond, the one-turn 320m shouldn’t pose too many problems. Despite the awkward draw, he will just need a little bit of room early to wind up before racing away to his first Richmond win.

Race 5: Jan’s Memory (2)
Jan’s Memory has been mixing her distances a bit of late, but the 400m at Richmond is probably her best track and trip. This is a dog that needs to be drawn nearer the fence, and she gets that in box two. It may well come down to whether she can clear the red dog in the early stages; if she does, Jan’s Memory will likely set up a race-winning lead.
