KS Black & Co GRNSW Country Challenge Showdown Final
Tonight at Wentworth Park features the culmination of the very popular GRNSW Country Challenge Series with the 2010 final of the series.
The top point scorers from the series of heats at non TAB meetings at various tracks around the State come together in race 6 on the program. There‟s a total of $20,000 prize money for this event with a quality metropolitan class field.
Top points scorer and recent Gunnedah Cup winner Tadmore Buckshot trained by the affable Simon Ma for Tom Astbury comes out of box 4 while last year‟s Showdown Final winner Future Fund has the rails.
Future Fund remarkably is lining up for his third consecutive Showdown Final – a tribute to the greyhound‟s durability and the skills of trainer John Lawson.
Classy Wentworth Park top grader True Kihael, with a sizzling best of 29.82 at the track, comes out of box 2 for trainer Kim Hyde and there‟s Patrick Parrelli‟s talented pair of Devine Rush and Devine Ruler in 6 and 7.
Race 4 on the program the “Well Done Tadmore Buckshot Stake” will be followed by a presentation to connections of a cheque for $10,000 as the prize for the greyhound topping the GRNSW Country Challenge Series Points Score for 2010.
