Made To Size Fit For AGRA’s July Greyhound

AGRA's for July 2008 is Queensland speedster Made To Size. In an outstanding effort he defeated a quality field to win the final of the Group 1 at Albion Park on July 24th.

Made To Size had two runs in July for two wins firstly on July 17th he won his heat of the Winter Cup from box eight by a quarter of a length running down early leader in 30.40.

Starting from box three in the final he was quickly into stride led around the first turn held his advantage into the home straight then raced away to score by two and a quarter lengths in 30.39 on the wet track. He beat the fast finishing Trew Millions with hot favourite ($1.90) a half length away in third.

Made To Size is raced in partnership by his breeder Julie Edmonson and vet Richard Eaton-Wells who bought a half share in the dog before he raced.

He is trained by Edmondson's partner and both were also represented by the winner's half brother Size Can Matter in the final.

In a quite month for group racing Made To Size beat Group 2 winners , , , El Galo and Jillie Bean for the monthly award.

Made To Size joins Kendale Bale, Chinatown Lad, Size Can Matter, Whippy's Image, and El Galo as the previous AGRA Greyhound of the month winners in 2008.

Made To Size is a Red Fawn dog whelped April 2005 by Surf Lorian from Queen Size (Deep North x Ultra Queen). He has now raced on 42 occasions for 18 wins and 18 placings his overall stake earnings stand at $113,745.
