Vale Peter “Big Chief” Brown
Greyhound racing in Victoria lost a true gentleman of the sport when Peter “Big Chief” Brown passed away suddenly on Monday at home.
Peter is the father of Darren Brown and this larger than life pair have enjoyed great success in Victorian greyhound racing over many years. Highlights included winning the Shoot out and Warrnambool Classic with Cosmic Chief. The Brown's ran the quinella in that Warrnambool Classic, with Cosmic Diva running second. The powerhouse team then won the classic again this year with Peter's flying speed machine Magic Diva saluting.
Peter was a kind big-hearted man gone to soon. He has left behind a devastated group of family & friends who will miss him greatly.
His popularity and legacy within the greyhound industry has been put into kind words by many on Facebook.
